Though its exact origin remains a mystery, the gear serves as a tangible fragment of history, now given new life within this timepiece. In future creations, each component - such as this gear repurposed from an antique watch movement, will have its serial number and movement information carefully documented, ensuring that every watch carries not only artistry but also a traceable history.
On this watch, We adhered a mainspring barrel cover from an old automatic watch movement.
The cover of the mainspring barrel keeps the mainspring parts securely enclosed within the assembly. The mainspring is the energy source inside a mechanical watch. When you wind a mechanical watch, you are really winding the mainspring inside the watch.
Lastly, this watch features a day-night indicator from an old watch movement. This is definitely one of my favorite creations that hasn't sold yet.
